UGA vs Kentucky

The wildcats are coming this saturday for the last game in Athens for the season. This tailgate will be very light in terms of us actually making preparations for other people. This means, byob, nothing being grilled, and you might want to consider byof (bring your own food) cause honestly, we think everyone can cater for us for once.

There will be a porto potty, the box, tv, tents, and tables, but don't really expect anything on the tables unless you expect to put it there yourself. Its a 7:45 pm for some god awful reason so come prepared because we are not walking to the shell and hauling back a baby stroller full of beer for you.

The weather today is predicting 40% chance of showers on saturday so stay posted as this thing could inevitably end up at bissetts if the weather is going to completely suck and since most of the wives are not coming the tab would be bearable. Come to think of it, if the girls don't come then we can go to some run down beer hole and drink for almost nothing!!!!

Bottom line is, come prepared to take care of yourself. We are basically providing a place for you to sit your ass for the day. Lousy for the last game you might ask??? So what and what are you going to do about it??

UGA vs Auburn

The tiger eagles of the plains come to visit some worn out dawgs this weekend and the herty dawgs are biting at the bit to throw down in a potential season ending blaze of glory. Since the hybrid mascot is southwest of the classic city, we are going with a southwestern theme. Brisket on the grill, texas cavier, avacoado salad, and a chili/corn spoon bread. If you are planning on bringing food then there is your inspiration. Kegs and private potty will be there as well.

Its a 7 pm game with a forecasted weather of 51 low and 68 high with partly cloudy so it should be perfect.

Get ready to rumble cause lets be honest. Neither one of us has anything to lose except a head coach or both coordinators and finally a senior quarterback.

comment below on your plans.

UGA vs LSU

Holy canoli we somehow survived the 500 year tailgate flood and we are gearing up for the tigers of LA. We were proud to host the ASU quarterback's (Danny Sullivan) dad and his friends at the tailgate and they thanked us profusely for how much fun they had and how nice everyone was. A testament to the quality of the herty dawgs no doubt.

This week is sure to be a raucous crowd as a larger crowd by default is expected. We are asking the basics for this one. Everyone bring something good to eat. We will have 2 kegs and its $5 to drink from those. We are not sure if they will last the whole day as we don't know the consumption rate of our new conglomerate tailgate so a bit of back up beer is always a good idea you just won't have to cart in so much of it. Extra ice is always a plus too.

There will be a jar for everyone/anyone to anonymously donate towards the porto potty and all other unexplained expenses we incur throughout the season. Any money made over expenses will be applied towards the next tailgate.

We would like to remind everybody about the hertydawg stickers that we all should wear to help us identify each other as well as moochers. We are certain there was a crowd of them at the ASU game but we were all too busy dealing with the rain to handle it. If you don't see a sticker on someone, politely ask them where their sticker is and if they don't have one then they need to prove they know someone there. Remember these people are eating our food and beer and when its gone its really heard to get more there so don't be afraid to police the tailgate but please do it in a classy fashion. We will bring the pain if necessary, but we only like to let ryan out of his cage once a year.

Wheels down on herty at 7 am. we hope you enjoy the ride.

As always comment below on if your coming, what your bringing, etc.

FaceBook

Just FYI. A Facebook page has been set up for the herty dawgs as a place to crush each other and post pics of tom foolery. So if you like looking at pictures of wes then you need a facebook page because he doesn't have one and we can all talk about him and he won't know. Just search herty dawgs and it should pop up.

UGA - Ariz St

The game has been scheduled for 7pm so it will be another long day on Herty. The good news is that we successfully combined several tailgates together into what is becoming the best and biggest on herty. A few notes of protocol are due since we are all figuring out how each tailgates.

Porto potty - We had alot of problems last year with random people trying to use the portlet to the point that an actual fight broke out with some random guy and one of our own. It is this reason that we are a little on edge when trying to establish who is actually legit to use the facilities. This caused a few problems this past game due to a few simple miscommunications between all the new faces now with us. To remove this problem, hopefully, we will install a wristband program to help us all put it to the retards that don't understand what the term "private" means. While we acknowledge that the use of wristbands isn't the coolest thing and elitist, we really don't care because who wants to get in a fight over a crapper?? This is how this thing will work the next game. Berta, Lawson, Wes, Ryan, and Mark will have wristbands. They will hand them out to whomever they deem apart of the tailgate. If we run out, then as long as you are escorted to the red box of pee by someone with a wristband then you can use it. This program is probably wrought with as many problems as a government health care plan, but until we work out all the wrinkles that's how it will work. Suggestions are welcome on how better to handle this.

Food - I can't say one bad thing about the food selection the past game. Everybody did a wonderful job and there was plenty to go around. How bout everybody just do the same or something different even but as long as you bring something then we will be good. A main grilling course has not yet been decided, but will be posted when it has been chosen. Apparently no one carries devil meat.

Alcohol - I believe plenty of spirits where available and had by all. With so many people now, is it possible or necessary for us to look at getting kegs?? lets discuss.....

So for now just comment below on what you are bringing and again we will go from there. 2 weeks to plan for this one so no excused to forget things like the trailer dolly.

Also a challenge has been issued to see if it is possible that we can hear soulja boy and put it on no more than twice during the whole day.

UGA - USC

Game Time 7 pm on ESPN 2

The first tailgate of the season. Its like a baited dove field surrounded by DNR officers. You want to go in because it will be fun, but you will probably get a ticket for illegal actions. As is life on Herty. Not sure what that meant but who cares. It's milla time!! Not really because preferably it would be coors light time but that doesn't really roll off the tongue so milla it is.

We will be there with bells on at 7 am. We will have the regular ol' charcoal grill up and running for hotdogs for lunch and then roasting gamecocks on the grill for a mid afternoon/dinner meal.

Porto potty is confirmed as is the regular set up. Remember to bring earmuffs if you have psychotic breakouts due to excessive bell ringing.

Just post a comment on this blog if you plan to attend and what you are bringing so we don't end up with 7 coolers of ice, no beer and a table full of hint of lime tostitos and no dip.

Directions of Use

Here is how this thing is going to work until someone smarter than us can show us a more efficient and better way and no facebook will not be better.

A blog will be posted for each home game. We will post that we will be there for that game and what the main menu items will be. We might even post that we need people to bring lots of ice or a chair or a pitching wedge.

You will be asked to comment on that blog as to if you are coming. What you will bring food wise or if instead of food what you will contribute as general admission consumption alcohol and that doesn't mean a 6 pack. If you bring liquor, then bring sufficient ice and mixers compatible with the size of the bottle. i.e. bring more for a handle than a liter. We have all tailgated for long enough to know that even if you plan to only drink a 6 pack you will always blow through this 6 pack and then inevitably have to "borrow" beer from someone. So just man up and bring the 12 or be a gent and bring the case and ice to keep it cold and not floating around like a dead fish in a hot, deoxeginated mud puddle.

We as always supply the staples as in tents, most chairs, tv, a main course item, and various muchies and of course the private porto potty. Donations for the porto are welcome as they may be needed to buy a new shirt for someone guarding it.

Keep in mind that we are not responsible for items left at the tailgate, but we always do our best to secure them to cause the least amount of damage from homeless molestation.

We have several new people joining us this season and look forward to what could be a great tailgating season even if we lose all our games due to the H1N1.

We are always there by 7 am so if you are feeling randy or just helpful then feel free to join us for the setup as we may buy you breakfast at the mayflower, but probably not since we don't do that and you should be there that early anyways so why feel entitled to something you can do for yourself. oops there we go again on political crap.

See ya on the field. Herty that is because you would be in jail if we saw you on the other field.
