UGA - Ariz St

The game has been scheduled for 7pm so it will be another long day on Herty. The good news is that we successfully combined several tailgates together into what is becoming the best and biggest on herty. A few notes of protocol are due since we are all figuring out how each tailgates.

Porto potty - We had alot of problems last year with random people trying to use the portlet to the point that an actual fight broke out with some random guy and one of our own. It is this reason that we are a little on edge when trying to establish who is actually legit to use the facilities. This caused a few problems this past game due to a few simple miscommunications between all the new faces now with us. To remove this problem, hopefully, we will install a wristband program to help us all put it to the retards that don't understand what the term "private" means. While we acknowledge that the use of wristbands isn't the coolest thing and elitist, we really don't care because who wants to get in a fight over a crapper?? This is how this thing will work the next game. Berta, Lawson, Wes, Ryan, and Mark will have wristbands. They will hand them out to whomever they deem apart of the tailgate. If we run out, then as long as you are escorted to the red box of pee by someone with a wristband then you can use it. This program is probably wrought with as many problems as a government health care plan, but until we work out all the wrinkles that's how it will work. Suggestions are welcome on how better to handle this.

Food - I can't say one bad thing about the food selection the past game. Everybody did a wonderful job and there was plenty to go around. How bout everybody just do the same or something different even but as long as you bring something then we will be good. A main grilling course has not yet been decided, but will be posted when it has been chosen. Apparently no one carries devil meat.

Alcohol - I believe plenty of spirits where available and had by all. With so many people now, is it possible or necessary for us to look at getting kegs?? lets discuss.....

So for now just comment below on what you are bringing and again we will go from there. 2 weeks to plan for this one so no excused to forget things like the trailer dolly.

Also a challenge has been issued to see if it is possible that we can hear soulja boy and put it on no more than twice during the whole day.

Unfortunately wristbands are probably necessary. It prevents me from questioning every unfamiliar face - and it will remove any doubt about whether we mean business about keeping it private. At the same time, I'm not looking to be a complete Ahole and if we have no one in line, or if someone not with us offers to chip in, I am not violently opposed to allowing minor outside use.

How do we wish to split up the cost and paying for the portolet? I think the candle, hand santizer and adding seat wipes are great ideas (along with portolet attendant if that was a serious suggestion).

Whoever wants to call and coordinate with GA Dawg Houses (Grayson) let me know if you need a map and pic to send to Grayson, but if you say the same spot as Prescott for the UGA v. USC game, he should remember.

I vote yes on kegs.

Now that I have put my two cents in, I am out of the country for Ariz St. and LSU (don't plan trips so far in advance that you don't even think about the UGA game conflict).

First, I'd like to say thanks to Berta and Wes and Ryan and everyone else for "absorbing" the Boozers into the Herty Dawgs tailgate. Another thanks to Berta for keeping up this blog for all of us. You 'da man, Tiger! While hosting our tailgate from a couple hundred feet away for several years, we too ran into these same issues. So I couldn't be more pleased about having the opportunity to pitch in with help, supplies, cash, etc. Maybe even song selections. I hope the wristbands will help with the port-o-potty. I thought Ryan's combo lock was an awesome idea. Unfortunately, when a line forms, an additional method is necessary. I'll be glad to take on a "security" role with Ryan, if need be. Been there, done that. We are adding a few simple items to the supply box - some additional folding tables - seemed like we need some more table space for all of the awesome food. Also a small propane grill for cooking up an early meal, or snacks before we load the charcoal grill. We will always pitch in snack foods and breakfast sausage, plus usually some hamburgers, hot dogs or help out with the main grill meat. We always bring beer - enough for us and some to share. If we seriously consider kegs, I still have contacts at Miller and can probably get them at discount. Looking forward to all of the home games.

Wrist bands are great, Or you could always slap a $1-$5 charge on anyone who didn't have one and roll it back into the tailgate fund.

We'll see ya'll LSU weekend.

Scott and Wes, thanks for letting us join your crew. We are looking forward to the Az St game. Jennifer and I will be bringing a bottle of brown and some coke for ourselves and others to share and will bring some sort of food to share. If you decide to go with a keg, we are happy to chip in. If you guys are tired of beating up porto potty bums, Jennifer said she would be happy to stand guard with a baseball bat.

If there is anything at all you guys need, let me know. Thanks again.

after much deliberation the idea of having hertydawg stickers for a bathroom pass has been decided on. This won't be so blatant as wristbands and will make us look like a group in support of some politician or sorority. They are cheaper than the bands as well. Trial run will be this weekend and we will see how they go. If it works it will continue. If not then plan b. If a friend of yours walks up and isn't staying to tailgate then you will have to escort them to the potty. A keg will be on hand as well but bring some more just in case. The porto has been officially ordered. see everyone there early....
